2000 - Middle Paleolithic |

| In the 2000 season, we identified 11 locations with
elevated densities of Middle Paleolithic artifacts. In most cases,
the Middle Paleolithic is best represented by the presence of Levallois (cores or flakes)
and Nubian cores. In other cases, we identified Middle
Paleolithic retouched tool types. |
