| Where We Excavated | |

| During a previous survey of the site, we were fortunate in
locating the original site datums used by Bordes during his
excavation. This allowed us to set up our grid system so that it
matches perfectly with his, thus ensuring that the newly excavated objects
will be correlated perfectly in space with his. We then
installed several permanent datums around the site so that we can begin
each season with exactly the same coordinates.
This map shows what the site looked like after the setup was complete, with the shaded squares being those that we began excavating this year. |
