The Lab
One of the most difficult aspects of starting a new site is locating a place to live.  We were fortunate to find a rental house in the village of Carsac, which is only about two miles from the site.  The house itself needed a bit of work to make it more suitable for our purposes, including the installation of new toilets and showers and modernizing the kitchen.   It is now possible to have a large crew (up to 30 people) stay here at one time, with most of the excavators pitching their tents in the field just behind the house.   Meals are taken in a covered area behind the house.   To us (shown below) the house is now just like home!
