Bella Muntz: Up Close and Personal

Affiliation: University of Michigan

starting second year of graduate school in the fall; interest is Middle Paleolithic archaeology

Favorite Pech pastime: playing Bocce ball

Little known fact: drinks Virgin Cosmopolitans

Favorite saying: "I'm high on life."

Profile: She has worked in Jordan, Israel, and Mexico on archaeological projects, and this is her first time on a dig in France, although she's been to France before, as well as various other European countries. Bella likes photography, volleyball, and she even enjoys labeling artifacts (we're wondering if she's the one with the tiny handwriting). Her real talent is dry wit, and to sit next to her at a meal is to hear a barrage of real zingers. While here, she's learned to play dominoes from the great domino master, Shawn.
