Harold Dibble: Up Close and Personal

Affiliation: University of Pennsylvania; University of Pennsylvania Museum

Professor and Deputy Director; interest is Paleolithic archaeology

Favorite Pech pastime: being witty

Little known fact: once asked about the types of pottery in the Pre-Pottery Neolithic period

Favorite saying: "I'm joining the land of the living now."

Profile: Harold's worked in France as a Paleolithic archaeologist for about a gazillion years now. He speaks French, but maybe that depends on who tells you this fact. He's also worked in Israel and Egypt, and even did a short stint in the American Southwest. His favorite things include listening to the Beatles all-day-all-the-time and playing the guitar (you guessed it, Beatles all-day-all-the-time). He's an expert hearts player, and wrote all the jokes for a soon-to-be published cookbook on Cave Man Cuisine (along with Chef Dan).
