| Profile: Jalil
has worked on excavations in Morocco and France. Although his interests
are in prehistory, his first dig was actually at a Medieval city (Sijilmassa)
in Morocco. Jalil speaks Berber, Arabic, French, English, Russian, and
even knows Latin. For relaxation, he enjoys reading, especially Zen, and
working with computers. Jalil got interested in
archaeology when he was 14 and a teacher showed him ancient stone tools.
He later combined this early exposure to archaeology with his interests in
the environment and how things develop over time. |
