Noreen Place: Up Close and Personal

Affiliation: crisis intervention for emotionally handicapped children

has a B.A. in Human Services from Dominican College with a minor in psychology

Favorite Pech pastime: learning archaeological jargon

Little known fact: her bocche ball quarter used in the coin toss had two tails

Favorite saying: "Who's got the red pole (aka red stripe)?"

Profile: Noreen chanced onto the Pech IV excavations through a fortuitous conversation with our geologist (Paul Goldberg). This is her first dig, but not her first time in France. Noreen likes music, especially folk music, and also traveling. She does volunteer work from time to time, especially with kids, and expects to continue volunteering in the future. Noreen says her life is typically serendipitous, and her motto is now "carpe diem."
