Excavation |
| While working with the collection, it became clear that
before the site could be published some new excavations would be
required. Thus, in 2000 we began a four year project to re-sample
the site of Pech IV. The initial goals of this project were as
follows: |
- Complete the geological descriptions of the sequence
- Study to the site formation processes
- Obtain dates
- Collect new archaeological samples to assess the degree of
collection bias in the existing collection

| 2003 is the final year of excavation. After that time
we will continue work on the materials for the publication of the site
monograph. |
